ZOOM's F6 is the first field recorder to be equipped with 32-bit float (floating point arithmetic) and dual AD converters. The combination of the two achieves an overwhelming dynamic range that exceeds imagination, without the need for gain adjustment. Six inputs, unrivaled timecode, selectable power options, and wireless control.

- High-quality mic preamp with maximum gain of 75dB and ultra-low noise floor of less than -127dBu EIN
- Mic/line (+4dBu compatible) input source can be switched
- Advanced limiter that predicts peaks and prevents overloads
- ZOOM automix function that automatically adjusts the levels of multiple microphone inputs
- High-precision timecode (0.2ppm regardless of power on/off), jam sync compatible with both drop frame and non-drop
- Compatible with 3 power supply methods: 4 AA batteries, SONY L series battery, ZOOM AD-17 5V AC adapter (sold separately)
- Headphone jack with volume control (100mW), SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot (supports up to 512GB)
- 6 in/4 out, can be used as a USB audio interface that supports up to 96kHz
- At the same time as recording to the built-in SD card, backup recording to a PC is possible via USB audio output.
- Built-in Ambisonic mode that enables recording of 360° spatial audio using a VR microphone
- With the free iOS app "F6 Control", you can wirelessly operate the F6 and enter metadata from your iPhone/iPad.
- Physical fader operation is possible with the optional mixer type controller “F-Control”
