The RODE Broadcaster is a large-diaphragm, end-address condenser microphone designed to provide the ultimate performance in broadcast vocal applications.
Its richness and proximity effect, accentuated by its tailored response, make this microphone the standard for radio tunes around the world. Similarly, it's great as a voice over microphone for movies and TV.
Broadcaster features a built-in pop filter designed to minimize plosive sounds that overload the microphone capsule and distort the audio output.
In addition to Broadcaster's natural 20Hz to 20kHz response, you can also set a high pass filter to 75Hz to prevent low frequency sounds such as air conditioners and traffic from entering your recordings.
Broadcaster features an innovative built-in 'On-Air' indicator that can be wired to externally trigger the 'Channel On/Mute' feature found on many consoles. If the microphone is powered on and not connected to a console or switch, the indicator will remain lit.
